With the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict no closer to ending, leaked documents confirm that Western powers – including the United States – are sustaining the Palestinian populace in order to provide more fulfilling targets for indiscriminate bombing.
Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State, has said “the entire population of Gaza – 2.3 million people – are facing severe levels of acute food insecurity. And shooting a starving civilian just isn’t as meaningful as a hopeful one.
The United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union and others had pushed for Israel to open new aid routes to the war-torn Gaza Strip. It is also hoped that aid caravans can provide some much-needed relief to Israeli forces looking for some variety in their choice of hostile targets.
“Recently, the (Israel Defence Forces) have lost their enthusiasm for shooting children, journalists, and people waving white flags, and are looking for something new to flex their lack of discretion on,” Gen. Amos Yadlin said at the weekend.
“Until this point, crossings of new aid have only been allowed in piecemeal so as not to dilute the novelty of bombing charity workers. But at the request of the international community, we will now begin cooperating with our partners to increase this amount.”
Gen. Yadlin also welcomed the new arms sales to Israel from their Western partners, saying that it would greatly enhance their precision strikes.
“Our technology is now so sophisticated that we can calculate exactly when a father’s heart has broken completely after seeing his child crushed under rubble and send missile to end his despair. That’ll show Hamas how it’s done.”
When asked at a recent press conference about the hypocrisy of providing both the cause and relief of Gaza’s suffering, the UK’s Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron said there was no inconsistency, as Western powers never operated honestly in the Middle East.
“And criticising Israel is a Labour policy. We stand by our Islamophobic philosophy.”
