WELCOME TO SHAMBLES RAMBLE
Hi! I'm Alex, a freelance writer with an irrepressible wanderlust.
I never like being in one place for too long, and I like planning in advance even less. You can read all about the places and the people I meet in my travel blogs, or by checking out the galleries from my different destinations!

When I'm not travelling, I'm continuing to write just about anything and everything.
Whether you're looking for a short story, poetry, satire, or opinion pieces, I'm sure there'll be something for you to enjoy. Or, if not, there are new articles every week, so keep checking back!
Wherever you end up, I hope you enjoy my little blog.
- Alex
TRAVEL
"Man has legs so he can wander." - Roman Payne, The Wanderess
What started out as a simple university trip became a deep passion for travel writing.
To be able to record, share, and celebrate the experiences that can be found in the world is something I've been addicted to ever since I started.

Originally written by hand in ever-bulging journals, I publish them here so everyone can enjoy the places I've been lucky enough to visit, and the stories I'm lucky enough to tell.
GALLERIES
"When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs." - Ansel Adams
As you might expect, I'm never content with just writing about where I go.

Alongside my writing is an ever-expanding gallery of photos and videos to document my adventures around the world.

Updated alongside new articles, they paint the full picture of my travels, and are accompanied by relevant extracts from my published journals.
BLOG
“Always be a poet, even in prose.”
- Charles Baudelaire
Though travel writing is my passion, I can't be travelling all the time!

During my downtime I keep on going with a mix of fiction and non-fiction articles.

If you're looking for a break from some shambles rambling, why not have a look at some of the other rambles?
